Eligibility Evaluation

UK Qualification framework, numbers of years of study, etc

Is it just me or is everyone inundated with the task of going through various websites of different Universities and selecting a course and then finding either the University or the course might not be right for me and continuing the search for a long while before arriving at a satisfactory course and University? And after spending all these hours and days and weeks trying to find a suitable course and University finding an agent or applying directly or otherwise find the waiting period is too high to bear before I get a response from the University. And then to my chagirn the University sends me a list of documents or conditions and I find tearing my hair? And then finally my most preferred University says I am not eligible or that the course for the preferred intake is full? And I have to start the process again. For me it is a tiring process which I start with enthusiasm and then somewhere along the way I end up being less than enthusiastic and just go along with what the agent says as I am too tired to do any further reiki on my part.

Welcome to the club. You are not alone. Thousands of students face this ordeal every year. In what should be a breeze a student ends up not getting the best fit. I am not talking about the ivy league or slightly lower students with cool high school percentages but everyone other who feels finally they could have got into a better University or could have chosen a better course helping them advance in life they way they wanted, or the way God intended for them.

The Universities have a defined task. To teach students so they acquire valuable knowledge which prepares them for chosing a path which improves their career, their lives. They are not experts in developing websites and portals, and they rightfully choose not to do so. For them their curriculum takes front seat and every ounce of manpower and intelligence they can garner is designed to go towards improving their teaching methods, curriculum and generally the knowledge they impart to the students. They are not expected to spend money on marketing themselves or their courses, either through a website or portal or trying to engage external consultants or others to do this for them. They therefore employ agents who are passed on a part of their fee received from students to do this work. They also build formidable admissions teams to ensure their applicants get assessed with impartiality and good judgement. Thus their system is not geared up to take away so called difficulties which individual students might need help for during the selection and application process. And the agents and admission teams are too busy in their own rights to help here.

RTC has therefore chosen to bring to students a unique portal which has data from over 100 Universities in the UK and Australia (Canada and US to be added in a while). This portal allows students to not only chose courses and progression degrees from all these Universities based on a smart search criteria which gives them a snapshot their options in the easiest possible manner, but also gives them an answer to their eligibility for that particular course. If the Universities use this, the students can generate their own provisional offer letters. Imagine! RTC is out to help students ease away their difficulties in an amicable manner, which creates value for everyone- the Universities, the agents, and most importantly, the students.
