English Requirements and Test assistance

Hi, Can anyone tell me is IELTS is valid in all countries and what should minimum score?

IELTS is a language proficiency test that is given by those candidates who wish to study in an English-speaking country and aim to gain global exposure. It’s accepted by all countries.

Please note that every University has a different set of requirements and its own set of guidelines for giving admissions. Also, all the universities have set different IELTS Eligibility Criteria which candidates need to fulfill for getting admitted.

The medium of teaching in a majority of the colleges, universities, and educational institutions in the major English-speaking countries is the English language only. So, the candidates should have a basic understanding of the language in order to pursue their higher studies successfully.

According to the IELTS Exam Pattern, the candidates are assessed on four parameters Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.

IELTS test is valid in almost all countries but it is advisable to check the countries requirement before sitting for the exam.

Many countries have different acceptable scores for student visa and for PR. Please check with the universities/country before deciding to sit for the exam.

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to help you work, study or migrate to a country where English is the native language. This includes countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and USA and in more than 3,000 institutions in the USA. It is required by many professional organizations, academic institutions and is asked for visa and immigration forms.

Your ability to listen, read, write and speak in English will be assessed during the test. IELTS is graded on a scale of 1-9.

IELTS is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge English.

IELTS is one of the most renowned English-language tests in the academic world. It aims at assessing the English level of non-native English speakers. The IELTS test is required by thousands of universities, companies and institutions when accepting new candidates.

The IELTS test assesses the candidate’s ability to read, speak, understand audio conversations and write in English.

There is no minimum score required to pass the test. Every candidate who passes the test receives their results through a Test Report Form (TRF) which gives them a score going from band 1 to band 9 (band 0 score is given to those who did not attend the test). Each institution asking for its candidate to take the IELTS sets its own threshold, according to its standards.

There are 9 different band score that a student may achieve(student must achieve a desiered level set by the college/university) in order to qualify for a specific program. The institutions may also provide pre-sessional english programmes to specific students (failing to meet a specific Band Score).
