Accounting, Economics, Finance and Banking:

• Degree with evidence on your degree transcript of strong grades in statistical modules in your second, third or fourth year and that your programme contained an Economics component
• MSc Economics: Degree transcript of strong grades in statistical modules in your second, third or fourth year and that your programme contained an Economics component.

Architecture, Engineering and Sciences:

• MSc Civil Engineering: This should normally be in an appropriate Engineering or Engineering-related subject including modules in Geotechnics, Mechanics and Mathematics for Engineers and Scientists. Although in some instances we can consider industrial or other relevant experience if you have a different first degree.
• MSc New and Renewable Energy: This should normally be in an appropriate Engineering or Engineering-related subject including modules in electrical engineering and/or thermodynamics although in some instances we can consider industrial or other relevant experience if you have a different first degree.
• MSc Electronic and Electrical Engineering: Better in a subject which includes a significant electronic or electrical engineering content.
• MSc Advanced Mechanical Engineering: This should normally be in an appropriate Engineering or Engineering-related subject including modules in Applied Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Mathematics for Engineers and Scientists. Although in some instances we can consider industrial or other relevant experience if you have a different first degree.

Computer Science , Data Sciene and Information Technology:

• MSc Scientific Computing and Data Analysis (all): In Physics or a subject with basic physics courses OR In Computer Science OR In Mathematics OR In Earth Sciences OR In Engineering OR In any natural sciences with a strong quantitative element.
• MDS Master of Data Science: ANY degree that is not highly quantitative, including those in social sciences, the arts and humanities
• MDS Master of Data Science (Earth and Environment): Degree in a Geography, Earth or Environmental Sciences degree and excluding degrees in Mathematics and Physics and Computer Science.
• MDS Master of Data Science (Social Analytics): Applicants with a first degree (or equivalent experience) involving significant content in Mathematics or Computer Science will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Law: Degree in law, or in a degree in which law is a major component.

Mathematics, Statistics and Sciences (Chemistry, Physic and Bio)

MSc Mathematical Sciences: Relevant degree.

MSc Particles, Strings and Cosmology: Degree in either Physics or Mathematics.

Medicine, Pharmacy , Health  and  Life Sciences:

MSc Plant Biotechnology and Enterprise: Degree in a Biosciences equivalent degree (i.e. Biology, Natural Sciences, Agriculture). It is not necessary to have prior laboratory experience in plant sciences techniques

MDS Master of Data Science (Bioinformatics and Biological Modelling): Degree in biological or physical sciences.

MDS Master of Data Science (Health): Degree in Psychology or Psychology related subject (or equivalent).

MSc Cognitive Neuroscience: Degree in Psychology or Psychology related subject (or equivalent).

Music: We require evidence of standard at least equivalent to a strong 2:1 degree final-year composition portfolio. A portfolio of two or three contrasting works of ten to 15 minutes total duration must be submitted to demonstrate that the applicant is of the required level.

Psychology, Behaviour and Philosophy

Philosophy: At least one example of written work on a philosophical theme (up to 5,000 words).

MSc Developmental Psychopathology/ MSc Behavioural Science: Degree in Psychology or Psychology related subject (or equivalent).
