Overview: It was founded in 1846 as the Leeds School of Art. From 1968 to 1993 it was known as Jacob Kramer College,
after Jacob Kramer, having lost part of its provision to Leeds Polytechnic (the future Leeds Beckett University). It was known
as Leeds College of Art and Design until 2009, and then as Leeds College of Art. In August 2017, the school was granted university status and the name was changed to Leeds Arts University.

Minimum Entry requirement:
Foundation Diploma in Arts & Design:
Successful completion of the Standard XII (awarded by a recognised Board of Higher Secondary Education) with 55%.
English language: Overall score of 5.0 with no component below 4.5
Undergraduate Program:
Successful completion of the Standard XII (awarded by a recognised Board of Higher Secondary Education) with 70%.
English language:
• IELTS 5.5 with no component less than 5.5
• We do not require IELTS for those students completing Standard XII with a minimum score of 65% in English in the past 5 years.
Master Programme:
• An undergraduate UK honours degree or international equivalent in a subject related to your proposed course of study or;
• A degree-equivalent postgraduate diploma /professional qualification
English language:
• IELTS 6.0 with no component less than 5.5
• We do not require IELTS for those students completing Standard XII with a minimum score of 70 % in English in the past 5 years.
